St. Anne’s Chapel

La Jana

Built of masonry and ashlar, it is a free-standing, simple and sober building, reinforced by exterior buttresses and a gabled tile roof. It has a semi-circular door with wide voussoirs and brick belfry crowning the gable, which is modern in style. The most interesting thing about the ensemble is the wall closing the head, which protrudes from the roof.  This may be due to a desire to offer protection from the weather or to counteract the low elevation of this area due to the uneven ground on which the chapel sits.
