In honour of San Antonio Abad, one of the most acclaimed festivals of Benicàssim starts on 17 January, with its procession, the offering to the saint and the float parade, accompanied by the distribution of “coquetes” (traditional blessed cake) and evening bonfires.
The procession to the Hermitage of Santa Águeda is held on 5 February to remind us that it was here where the townspeople of Benicàssim received the Town Charter.
