Fiesta del Rollo (L'Alcora)

The origins of this festival date back to 1756, and it has been declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. The L’Alcora people are proud to be the holders of a unique romeria or pilgrimage in Spain, whose main participants were boys (children) under eight years old. For decades, thousands of children have run down the path from the Plaza de la Iglesia to the Ermita de San Cristóbal, before later returning to the parish church where they eat the popular blessed Rotllo (a traditional pastry).
