Fuente del Oro

Altura

Just a few metres away from the houses in Uñoz, the Fuente del Oro (Fountain of Gold) is born, a spring located in a shady hollow surrounded by pine trees, banana trees and a willow, which are particularly welcoming during the summer season.

In the surroundings of the spring, which has a terraced bench, is a trough, a raft and a small wash-house, at the beginning of the 50's it was decided to channel its course to the houses, so that they would have running water.

Two more springs exist in the vicinity of the farmhouse, which are "la Cava" and "el Salero", and while the first is also used for human consumption, the second is only used for irrigation of a small extension of irrigated land.
