La Pegunta Ravine

In 1597, in the Libre dels camins de I’Herbatge, this ravine is already mentioned as the “barranch que bayxe de penta golosa” and at the end of the 18th century, the botanist Cabanillas already gives it the name of La Pegunta, the toponym is due to some plaster kilns. It is very possible that these ovens were established after the uniforming airs of the New Plant Decree, because in the foral time the rigid norms of nature protection would not have allowed its existence.

The La Pegunta ravine has a length of 4km on which runs one of the short trails, PR-V64. It is a micro-reserve of flora, where species are properly indicated for those interested in botany.
