Forty days before the beginning of Lent, Vinaròs celebrates its famous Carnival, the most colourful festival of the year. More than 3,000 people and 30 Comparsas, accompanied by Carnestoltes King, dress up in dramatic and flamboyant costumes during the Saturday and Sunday’s parades. In addition to the fantasy, colour and music, there are events for all ages during the festival week, which includes the flour battle and the pyjama night. The overflowing and contagious joy, brightness and shining of the costumes and parade floats, have made of this festival of Autonomic Tourist Interest.
