San Antonio

This is a festivity of regional tourist interest. It is considered an good of cultural interest (BIC, by its Spanish acronym). It takes place around January 17th and includes a wide variety of cultural, anthropological and historical events. Among all the events that take place during the weekend, the Santantonada, a parade by the streets of the town and the subsequent lighting and burning of the shacks, stands out. The main elements of the Santantonada are: demons, San Antonio, San Pablo, the filoseta, the despullat and the cremallers, who go through the streets of the town until they reach the shack. After the lighting, there is a representation of the burning of the saints and the victory of the demons. People can cross the shack while it is burning and then in the hot coal, they fry chops and sausages.
