Cake day

There is a curious tradition that consists of bringing plates of cakes to the public table and, in the presence of the authorities of the town, they are auctioned, allocating the collected money to support the souls.

Bids are paid in cuartillas (former mass unit) of wheat from the harvests.

The most auctioned cake is the one of the priest.
