Town Hall

Саррателья

The current town hall was opened in 1958, in the second half of the 20th century. These functional facilities replaced the old municipal hall, located in the church square, where the headquarters of the Sant Miquel Elderly Association is currently. The construction of this building involved an urban improvement of the area, as it expanded the main square with the demolition of some pens.

The most notable element of its architecture is the porches upon entering the building that limit the public area from the common area of the town halls in the medieval period. The town hall has a ground floor and two higher floors. On the ground floor there is a municipal doctor's practice, and the festival committee. The first floor has a plenary room, two offices and the municipal archives. This first floor is also home to the rural internet service. The second floor was reformed at the beginning of the 21st century as a rural house.

It is believed that the first building that was home to the town hall of Sarratela was that which is the current oven.
