This monastery dates back to the 18th century, and is built in the post-Baroque and pre-Academic architectural style. Its current appearance dates back to 1763, but following the Mendizábal ecclesiastical confiscations, it was no longer used as a monastery but was fortified and used by the Carlistas in 1836.
