Historic Centre

Culla

Declared an Artistic Heritage Site on 21 May 2004.

The houses in the historic centre are made of masonry and light plaster with sloping Moorish tile roofs.  The facade still features windows framed by stone blocks and balconies, the lower side of which is made of ceramic.

The doorways are made of stone with a semi-circular arch or lintelled and there are inscriptions on the lintels. The 19th century houses are two stories with balconies and rooftop terraces.

Worth highlighting are the Christ the Saviour Church, the St. Roch Chapel, the Old Hospital and a building with a portico sustained by semi-circular arches, wooden balconies and a ceramic tile finish, located in front of the abbey house.
