The Puente de Baño

Navajas

In 1799, the construction of this single-span bridge over the River Palancia cost 76,850 reales. It was built with the aim of linking the road to Aragon with the surrounding villages. Following what can be seen in its foundations, the bridge seems to have been built on top of an earlier structure.

It is a humpback bridge, that is to say that it has a bent profile or slope because of the steep terrain and the need to build an arch with a large, clear span.
